Sweet Berry Farm- Take 2

We finally made it to Sweet Berry Farm (and they were open this time!)for some strawberry picking. The weather was perfect that day and we had alot of fun w/Gaby's pals, Tripp & Emmylou.

Sadly, my cutie was way more interested in petting the goats...

and feeding the donkeys, than picking any strawberries.

Oh well. I picked some good ones, though, and they were oh, so tasty!!

Sad Fate

Remember Gaby's old pal, Mr. Bunny??? Well, once she got into her big girl bed he's pretty much been abandoned. Not really necessary anymore once your a big girl, I guess. I actually feel sad for Mr. Bunny. I thought he would be a fuzzy, faded, stained mess she still dragged along with her when she went off to college. Guess that was Mommy's dream and not Gaby's. Here's where he spends most of his time now. Poor guy. Maybe I should take him out of that pile and snuggle with him myself?? ;-)

The Food Revolution

I don't usually get political or preachy on my blog about, well, anything really. But I've been watching this show Jaime Oliver's Food Revolution and since, in a couple of years, my little sweetie will be going to school full time, I think this is something we should all support.

Changing the quality of food served to our children in school. Getting rid of overprocessed, low quality, un-nutrtious food in our schools.

Did you know that schools count french fries as a vegetable??
And that chocolate and strawberry milk are required choices by the state??
And that sometimes they serve pizza for breakfast?!?

So if you've got 30 seconds, sign the petition and maybe, just maybe, we can actually make a change for the better for our kids.

A Strawberry Bust!

My friends, Elizabeth and Becca, and I loaded up our kids and a picnic today and headed to Sweet Berry Farm to pick some strawberries. We were all very excited and it was going to be so much fun. We made it all the way to Marble Falls (almost an hour north of town) and what do you know....
.....they are closed on Wednesdays!!!!! Just our luck :(

To make the most out of our trip, we headed over to the famous Bluebonnet Cafe

for some lunch and especially their world famous pies...
YUM!!

Sweet Berry Farm, we'll be back.

Independent Girl

Lately, there has been one less thing I have to do at the park....

Push Gaby on the swings.
She has finally learned how to pump her legs herself!!

And since Gaby looooves to swing that leaves me off the hook :)
What a big girl!!

Bluebonnet Bonanza

With all the rain we've gotten this past year, the bluebonnets are huge, plentiful and gorgeous!!
I got some pretty great shots of my cutie, if I do say so myself ;)

Mini Easter

Easter was a little abbreviated this year because we were making our way back from Miami on Sunday. Luckily for us, the Easter Bunny did not forget Gaby and had a basket and some goodies waiting for her once we made it back home. Aren't those the greatest facial expressions, EVER??

Thank you, Easter Bunny :)

Welcome to Miami!!

We've been in Miami for the past five days! My good friend, Michelle, got married on April 2nd. I was her matron of honor and was so happy to be a part of such a special day. The weather was nothing short of SPECTACULAR!!! We had so much fun spending time with our St. Louis peeps and enjoying South Beach.

So excited for the plane ride!!!

Fun at the pool...

Pito and Pita joined us for the festivities, a little beach-time and especially a little Gaby-time.
The rehearsal dinner...
Waiting for the beautiful bride...
Mr. and Mrs. Craig Mannion!!!
Gorgeous centerpieces!!
The wedding was on Friday, so Saturday we still got to fit in more beachtime! Sweet moment between Gaby and Pito...
The wedding was simply beautiful and we are so happy for Michelle and Craig :)
