Welcome to The Holt Family Website. We'll keep you updated on our lives
and our latest adventures in Austin, including
lots and lots of pictures of our TWO
princesses. My version of an electronic
scrapbook! Enjoy :)
The Saturday after Thanksgiving Chuy's puts on a parade downtown for Children and to benefit Blue Santa. Blue Santa collects and donates thousands of toys to local needy children. Now, Austin has been in a severe drought this year and much to our surprise it was a cold and rainy day out there! But no one was complaining because we desperately need the water so we enjoyed gettin wet :)
Thanksgiving was in Austin this year because Byron was on-call. My family came up and we had a nice, cozy, yummy Thanksgiving meal. Sadly, I was too busy cooking and then being full to take many pictures ;-)
This post is loooong overdue! My beautiful and sweet niece, Lulu, has been living with us since late August and we couldn't be happier! She transferred schools and is now attending Texas State in their pre-Physical Therapy program. She has been such a blessing to have around to help out with the baby and with Gaby. And thankfully she is always willing to help and is such a natural with both girls. We love having her around and are excited for her to hopefully make Austin her permanent home even after school. But as happy as we are to have her here I do believe her biggest fans are the boys, Rosko & Ozzie. They actually have someone they want (no offense to Gaby!) giving them love and attention! Here are some of the pictures she has taken the last couple of months from her phone....
We did our yearly trekk to Sweet Berry Farm to check out the Pumpkin Patch last weekend. This year we went with our good friends the Rileys. After a delicious HUGE lunch at the Bluebonnet Cafe we enjoyed a lovely day outside with our kiddos :)

I never really slinged Gaby. Probably because I didn't really have to. Life revolved around her schedule and when she slept and when she was awake. Unfortunately, for little Mila life still revolves around Gaby's schedule, so slinging has become more of a necessity to keep her comfortable AND keep my hands free. As an added bonus, she looks simply adorable in her sling! Love her :)
Halloween fell on a Monday this year. Monday afternoons is dance class so Gaby not only got to have a party at school but also a party at dance class before we went to a party at our friend's house before we went trick or treating. Whew! You can imagine (1) how tired mommy was by the end of the night and (2) how hopped up on candy Gaby was by the end of the night :) My beautiful Spidergirl and my adorable Fairy Princess...
