2 Month Appointment

Today was Mila's doctor's appointment. She is growing very appropriately and the doctor said she looked "just perfect". It's always nice when the doctor uses the word perfect when referencing your child :) She is very proportionate in her height (22.5 in) and weight (10 lbs 6 oz) at 50th percentile for both but she is still a much smaller little peanut than Gaby was who was always in the 95th-99th percentiles for both. She had to get shots, of course, which is never fun and which caused her to do that cry where there is no sound and you literally think her head is going to explode. Poor baby :( Thankfully she got over it very quickly and then took a very long nap. We are so thankful to have a healthy, happy baby!

Time to Brag !!

At Gaby's school they give out a Life Saver Diploma to the student in each class that shows a sense of cooperation in all that they do. The student "listens carefully to others, shares when she has something that others would like to have, takes turns when more than one person wants to do the same thing, and does her work to the best that she possibly can and has inspired others to do the same". Can you take one guess who received the award in the Kindergarten class??? You got it! Our little sweetie did and we couldn't be prouder of her accomplishment! Way to go, Gaby!!!

Baby Camila's 1st Month

Mila's first month was a crash course in living with a newborn again. Although, honestly things do come alot easier the second time around. I guess it's because you know what to expect and you don't really have the time to worry about every little thing like the first time around. The hardest part has been trying to give Gaby enough attention so she doesn't feel left out or ignored. Which sometimes is so hard because the lack of sleep makes one tired and easily irritable. Overall, I think we've done pretty well and it helps that little Mila is an absolute doll. She's a sweet, sweet soul and always has a very serious, pensive look on her face. The only thing that really ticks her off is when she's hungry or extra tired. She's a good eater and luckily keeps it all down. She's got great head control and loves looking around at everything. And she is so strong! I could feel it in the womb and just thought I was being a wimp but she really is a tough little cookie :) We are so blessed to have another beautiful little girl in our lives!

First Day of School!

Gaby started Kindergarten at her Spanish immersion school today! She is very excited to be in Ms. Marjorie's class with alot of her friends from last year. We are so happy for her and can't wait to see all that she learns this year. Since Byron is off for "paternity" leave he was able join us for Gaby's first day. She was super excited about that!

Little Peanut

These are pictures from our last day at the hospital... How tiny is this little peanut?

Gaby was a whopping two pounds heavier than Mila when she was born. I'm not used to such a teensy little baby!

Big Sister/Little Sister

Gaby is very excited to be a big sister! She thinks the baby is soooo cute and tiny!! She's already calling her "our little peanut" and loves kissing her little feet and her tiny, perfectly round head. I know she is going to be such a great big sister :)

The Big Day !!

The day we had been waiting for had finally arrived! And it was such a lovely experience compared to last time. Walking in to the hospital for a planned c-section is a very quiet, peaceful and non-stressful experience. I thought it was great! My surgery was planned for 7:30am but we had to arrive at 5:30am. I got a good night's sleep, took a shower, got pretty, kissed my sleeping big girl good-bye and went to the hospital with my hubby and my very excited mom :) Prepped and ready to go...
Last shot of the big belly..... Welcome to the world, Miss Camila Grace Holt!!!
